Cher's Demo; SSTrend 'The new eye-deal'

Having Cher and Vicky visit us at Solent gave us a great opportunity to get a real insight into MAC cosmetics as a brand and what working for the company entails. Cher also gave us alot of inside professional tips in order to perfect a makeup look under pressure. As a senior artist Cher is at the heart of every fashion week and has a lot of experience under her belt which she shared with us.  

Cher went through the current trends which are being heavily focused on this season. Giving us a demo on one of the trends 'The new eye-deal'.

SKIN - Huge focus (always a trend focus) 'beauty is skin deep' 

* always keep sellotape in kit to remove any flecks of glitter off the skin which pick up in photographs

* strobe cream - illuminates

* face and body - waterproof, can be mixed in hands to create a thicker consistancy

* 103 stubby foundation brush

Use thin layer of foundation over the face then conceal using 211 eyeliner brush (always conceal around the nostrils.)    

LUXIOUS & FULL - rosy cheeks, freckles coming through 

Highlight - vanilla pigment using 224 brush

Contour - sculpt & bone beige  

BROWS - always brush upwards, keeps the overall look clean

Brow shades - Omega, Copper plate, Concreate, Typeagraphic 

(Mix with fix plus to help brow last longer)

Lighten brows - roll mascara wand through a light concealer, roll from ear inwards, matte over after using powder.

Dip down liner - red brow liner for red brows

LINER - Pull out towards eye-lobes, up towards hairline

* always curl lashes (even if your not using mascara) 

* always roll mascara brush through top of lashes first

Cromeagraphic liner - Blackblack (waterproof) 

Cromeagraphic pencil - nc15 flesh eye

266 & 210 liner brushes 

* clean up mistakes using Muji mini cotton buds

LIP ERASE - pale & dim, takes away pink undertone allowing pigment to show up better  

* lift lip slightly upwards, use 228 lip brush 

REMOVER 

* Oil based removers, great for removing waterproof products
